We’re taking part in the 2021 Big Give Christmas Challenge!
Christmas is just around the corner, and so is our favourite fundraising campaign of the year- the Big Give Christmas Challenge! We are deligthed to be taking part in 2021’s campaign, thanks to our Champion, the Childhood Trust. This year our target is £28,000 and we need your help.
So what is the Christmas Challenge?
The Christmas Challenge is the UK's largest online match funding campaign. The campaign is run by the Big Give online donation platform and has raised over £118 million since it started. Through this campaign we have the opportunity to double our donations. For example, an online donation of £100 is doubled to £200. If Gift Aid is claimed, the donation could be worth £225. This really is a fantastic way to make your donation go even further.
Who matches the online donations?
The matching pot used to double donations is made up of two parts: Part of the matching pot is funding that we have secured in the run up to the campaign. The other part of the pot is funding our 'Champion', the Childhood Trust. Donations are matched until we reach our target.
When does it all start?
The live campaign kicks off on #GivingTuesday (30th November 2021) at midday and ends a week later on Tuesday 7th December (at midday).
Why should I donate to the London Music Fund?
In a nutshell- the more funds we raise, the more young people we can support. We are raising funds for our Scholarship programme which enables young Londoners who cannot afford to progress with their musical learning to access instrumental lessons, suitably challenging ensembles, a dedicated Mentor from their Music Service, performance opportunities, instrument hire, playing days at inspirational venues and more for four whole years.
