When Rendys met Miloš!

Recently we were delighted to be able to offer Rendys, one of our brilliant Guitar Scholars, tickets to see Miloš at Cadogan Hall. Miloš is one of the world’s most famous guitarists and we are incredibly lucky to have him as one of our Ambassadors. Of course, Rendys was over the moon to meet him, and wrote the following account of the experience:

“Recently, I had the chance to meet an inspiring artist: Miloš Karadaglić. I was astonished by his guitar skills and by how much emotion he put into the pieces. He also played extremely fast at some points which was amazing to watch and listen. I was shocked that he could play without the notes and with his eyes closed. I really enjoyed listening to him play The Beatles songs: Eleanor Rigby, Here comes the Sun and Yesterday. My favourite song was The Sound of Silence.

After the concert, I was lucky enough to meet him. I was extremely excited. I had a chat with him. I asked him a few questions - one of which was: was the guitar your first instrument or did you try different instruments before? He answered, ‘Yes, the guitar is the one and only instrument that I have played and focused on.’ Then I asked him whether he could sign my guitar and take a picture with me and he said that he would gladly do so. I was very grateful and ecstatic. I am super honoured to have met him. I will never forget that evening.

He has inspired me to focus on the guitar and improve my skills to become as talented as him. I hope he inspires many more children who play the guitar.”

We are always thrilled to be able to give our Scholars the opportunity to see, hear and meet such amazing musicians, because we know how inspiring it is. We look forward to Rendys’ next performance on his newly-signed guitar!
