Meet our Award Winners — Sariah

Sariah is a 2021-25 Baritone Scholar, who was highly commended for the Teamwork and Ensembles Award at our Summer Celebration Day.

 Sariah takes part in multiple ensembles with Wandsworth Music, including their Junior Concert Band and Performance Troupe, which means Sariah's Wednesday evenings are completely taken up with rehearsals. She has become a mentor for students in these ensembles and has become a great help to the teachers.

Sariah says:

My favourite part of the workshop was meeting other Scholars my age, playing new songs, and learning new techniques. I enjoyed hearing the sound of all the instruments playing together. Being a Scholar means that I have experienced amazing opportunities to play my instrument in some prestigious venues and has helped me with my musical progress. The thing that I have enjoyed the most about being a Scholar is attending the Playing Days and hearing from the LMF Ambassadors because they are inspiring. My musical goals for the future are to choose music for GCSE and continue taking more music exams.
