Meet our Award Winners — Eila-Grace

Eila-Grace is a 2023-27 clarinet Scholar with Wandsworth Music, who won the Outstanding Commitment to Learning Award at our Summer Celebration Day.

Eila-Grace has been desribed as a polite, enthusiastic and hard-working student whose excitement for music is apparent. She is a member of her Music Service’s Saturday and Wednesday Academies to further her learning, and earlier this term, Eila-Grace led her clarinet group during a woodwind performance.

What was your favourite part of the Playing Day and workshop on 7 July?

My favourite part of the day was getting to have an experience that not every ten year old would get to experience. I also loved that I won my first award in the Royal Academy of Music for outstanding commitment.

What does being a London Music Fund Scholar mean to you?

It means the world to be a Scholar. I am also grateful that I get to experience amazing places and concerts.

What have you enjoyed the most about being a London Music Fund Scholar?

I have enjoyed being able to learn more about my instruments. I also like that we get to perform in many different places in England and hopefully the world.

What are your musical goals for the future?

My musical goals for the future are to become a famous musician on the French horn, the clarinet and hopefully the bassoon.
