Meet our Award Winners — Xuan Jie

Xuan Jie is a 2021-25 piano and flute Scholar from Wandsworth, who was highly commended for our Exceptional Achievement Award at our Summer Celebration Day.

Xuan Jie is preparing for her grade 8 piano exam and has been described by her teacher as a conscientious and diligent learner.

What was your favourite part of the Playing Day and workshop on 7 July? 

My favourite part on 7th July were the songs that we performed. They were really enjoyable.

What does being a London Music Fund Scholar mean to you?

Being a London Music Fund Scholar means having many opportunities that increase my confidence and also enable me to meet other Scholars who have the same passion and love for music. 

What have you enjoyed the most about being a London Music Fund Scholar? 

My favourite part about being a LMF Scholar is being given lots of opportunities to attend lessons and gain stage performance experience.

What are your musical goals for the future?

My musical goals include performing for a music tour across the world or to become a music teacher.
